Luk Foo Cantonese Kitchen
In the middle of summer, we had a meeting in Luk Foo Cantonese Kitchen In Puregold E. Rodriguez. I don’t usually head to that part of Metro Manila so I’ve never heard of this restaurant before but I can say that the aircon felt like heaven after walking under the sun.

Balboa Pizza, Pasta, and Steaks at Shangri-la...
I was finally able to go to the the new wing of Shangri-la Mall for a meeting. There weren’t a lot of stores open, but there were quite a few restaurants. Since the ramen place was packed, we scouted around for a restaurant we could all agree on.

Wildflour Café + Bakery at BGC

TWG Tea Salon & Boutique at Resorts World Manila
Tea time like a lady! When I saw the TWG opened in Manila, I was so excited to finally be able to have tea and cakes like a regency romance novel heroine.

Wee Nam Kee - Hainanese Chicken Rice
My siblings love eating hainanese chicken. We usually go to Hai Chix & Steak in Ortigas Home Depot since it’s much closer, but when we’re craving hainanese chicken in Taguig we almost always end up in Wee Nam Kee.

The 7th Fil-Chi Bakery Fair Philippines 2013
We were getting ready for the 7th Fil-Chi Bakery Fair (February 21-23)! Our gelato and dessert machine supplier, Bravo Italy asked us to bake a few things they needed for the show last February. :D

Ukokkei Ramen Ron
Yay! Ukokkei! This isn’t one of the new restaurants but, really, ramen restaurants have been sprouting like mushrooms in Manila.

Instead of heading straight to the Expo Center, we decided to take a look at the area around our hotel.

Our suppliers brought us to a quaint little restaurant in Remiremont named Oxalis that’s run by chef Laurent Grandgirard and his wife (who speaks very good english!).

Les Bas Rupts is a 4-star quaint home-y ski resort in Gerardmer, France with an in-house 1-star Michelin restaurant.

Snowed in Charles de Gaulle
A stroke of bad luck during my trip. The day before we were supposed to leave for Italy, it started to snow. The snow wasn’t that high, but eighty to ninety percent of the flights out of the country were cancelled, and trains were either out of operation, fully booked, or horrendously late.

Paris, France - Gare De L'est
Gare De L’est Station. We had to transfer from the RER to the Paris Metro in Gare du Nord. Traveling using the metro with luggage is pretty tiring, especially when some of the escalators stopped working. :( It was incredibly cold but I was a little sad there was no snow when we arrived. Anywhere.
